TBM May Be Your Health Solution

The last 4 days were spent upgrading my knowledge of my favorite technique TBM (Total Body Modification).

After correcting the basic reflexes in a patient there are many other advanced techniques that can be used to accomplish a variety of health benefits.

The weekend further reinforced the importance of basics such as making sure everyone is…

  • Drinking 1 liter per 50 lbs. of bodyweight per day
  • Vitamin B6 300mg/day
  • Eating at least 9 ounces of rare red meat a week
  • Supplementing Iodine
  • Supplementing Calcium
  • Remembering to salt food with sea salt regularly

If the basics are not in place, the correction of TBM reflexes will either not hold or likely create a healing crisis as the body begins to release toxins with the corrections.  The basic recommendations are vital to help the body metabolize and release all toxins that are liberated from corrections.

Key Pillars in the Treatment of Eczema and Psoriasis 

In my experience, I’ve found that to bring about any significant change in skin symptoms that various types of treatment are required. Skin problems  such as eczema and psoriasis can be difficult to treat and generally will not get better with “cook book” remedies and localized treatments alone. To see results, I recommend the following course of treatment.

  1. Test For Food Sensitivities

Food sensitivities are delayed reactions to specific foods that are triggered by IgG antibodies. 

Food sensitivities is an IgG reaction, the IgG antibodies attach themselves to the food antigen and create an antibody-antigen complex. Special cells called macrophages normally remove these complexes.  However, if they are present in large numbers and the reactive food is still being consumed, the macrophages can’t remove them quickly enough.  The food antigen-antibody complexes accumulate and are deposited in body tissues. Once in tissue, these complexes release inflammation causing chemicals, which may play a role in numerous diseases and conditions.

  1. Vitamin D Levels Via Blood Test

In Canada, a lack of direct sunlight in winter means we do not make vitamin D from October to April.

Only about 1/3 of Canadians have vitamin D levels* above 75 nmol/L, the minimum considered optimal for health.

A 2010 study estimated that 37,000 deaths could be prevented every year if the Canadian average vitamin D level* was 105 nmol/L.

Reasons for Vitamin D Deficiency:

Season or Latitude

The low angle of the sun in Canada means we cannot make vitamin D during the winter months.

Sunscreen Use 

SPF 15 sunscreen reduces D synthesis by 99%. 

Skin Colour

Dark skin has more of the pigment melanin, which can reduce vitamin D synthesis by up to 99%.

Age 

Vitamin D synthesis decreases by about 75% in a 70 year old.

Medications 

Specific medications, like anti-rejection, anti-seizure and AIDS medicines can speed up the breakdown of vitamin D, resulting in low levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D.

Cholesterol-lowering medications are commonly prescribed for high cholesterol and heart disease.   Monitoring cholesterol is important, because having too-low cholesterol impairs the body’s ability to make vitamin D.

  1. Digestive Function 

Support general digestive function with enzymes, probiotics, demulcents and cholagogues to heal the gut lining and reduce bacterial imbalance.

Balance liver detox pathways via proper supplementation to support Phase 1,2, and 3.

Topical treatments including emollients, activated Vitamin D, Neem, or other botanicals

Coleus forskolli supplementation for psoriasis can be helpful. Carbolin 19 from Biotest is the best form.

Do aggressive biotherapeutic drainage for a minimum of one year.

How to Detoxify Yourself

1.  Feed your Liver!

Contrary to popular belief a diet low in nutrients and protein makes it near impossible for your liver to deal with toxins in day to day life.

2.  Consider testing toxin load in  your body!

3.  Eat Less Toxins! 

Whenever possible try to eat organic, and minimize chemical intake from food preservatives and flavorings.  It is also a good idea to minimize sugar consumption as well.

4.  Avoid food sensitivies! 

Most of the toxins your liver is exposed to everyday come from gut bacteria and yeast that produce byproducts from poor digestion.  When you eat food that you cannot digest or are allergic to you overburden your digestive capacity.  Undigested food is then metabolized by your gut microbes into toxic waste.  

5.  Optimize digestive function!

Regular use of Bitters, Betaine HCl and/or Enzyme supplements improve overall nutrient absorption and inhibit harmful bacterial and yeast populations in the gut.  This reduces the stress on your detoxification systems.

6.  Use Detoxifying Super Foods!

​​​Why You Need Detoxification

Today’s world is much different that 100yrs ago. Industrial waste, medications, and pollution have all poisoned our water, food, air and soil. Everything we eat contains pesticides, medication residues and heavy metals. Since we don’t live in a “bubble” we are exposed to these toxins every day. Research has confirmed the carcinogenicity of many if not most of these chemicals so what are you doing about it? If you want to be well and prevent disease this needs to be priority in your life.

Dealing with toxicity is an approach that involves a few steps

1) Decrease exposure– as much as realistically possible-use natural alternatives for cleaners, cosmetics, soaps and toothpaste. Minimize drug use to only when absolutely necessary and at minimum effective dosage.
